prayer for the precious lost

I greeted the day with my habitual morning meditation—reaffirming my commitment to the path of enlightenment; acknowledging and atoning for my own misuse and misdirected actions, words, and thoughts; activating energy points throughout my body; and centering my spirit for a calm mind and focused intent.

And then I prayed…

For all those precious girls, filled with excitement and hope for a future they will not see. For the caring parents who lost their lives while waiting to escort them home safely. For the adults who wanted nothing more than to keep their charges safe during what should have been a fun and happy concert. For all the loved ones whose hearts are grieving beyond measure. For the compassionate people of the world who understand that murder is not and can never be an offering to God.
